Default Could I run skinnys on my daily driver?

So I want to get new wheels for my car. And I was thinking the summit weld knockoffs. The summit prostar look alikes, 15x4 in the front and 15x8 in the back. Would it suck to have skinnys on my daily driver, and what kinda problems would I run into if i did that?

Depends on how much you are willing to sacrifice.

Small tires will find the bottom of potholes better than a wide tire.
Braking distance will increase and your handling will suffer.

But don't they look mean!

I wish they made the knock offs in a 15x5.5 or something. Instead of 4'' which is really skinny. Would it be horrible to drive, cuz a car with skinnys up front looks damn good.

that is just kinda obvious. You need traction to turn right? Well the skinnier the tire the less rubber on the ground so less traction. For a weekend cruiser or days with great weather maybe but I wouldn't for a DD that sees all of the elements.

I've heard they are fine on dry stuff, but not so safe in rain.

This is so hard to decide between looks and driveablilty. I love the skinnys but I want to be able to drive it everyday, and not worry about the rain. damn

I DD my mustang, and i live in oregon. So i see rain all the time. They work just fine, dry, wet, snow. I havent had a single problem. Unless you plan on road racing and taking 70mph corners then it will be a non issue. If you drive normal you wont notice them up there.
