Comin Back! lol
Sold my 94 gt in February and bought a 2004 gto in march. I totaled it on monday in a time loss state, and want to go back to the 5 liters. After experience with the ls1... the 5 liter is way better. The parts for ls1s are so damn expensive, dollar for dollar the 5 liter is pretty much better than any performance car ever in my opinion.
Looking for a 94 or 95 cobra in red or black with 100k or less if anyone is selling theirs.

The ls1 is a good engine, just parts are so much. You get a lot more bang for the buck with the 5 liter. This time I am going with a procharger . I found a nice black 95 cobra with only 81k, but from looking at the carfax i think the odometer has been turned back.

Unfortunately I've gotten a keen taste for the newer termi's lately, so I want to get test drive one and see if they are nicer than that pile of **** 'new edge' GT I drove... Damn thing, couldn't even stay in the seat without sliding out the window nearly.

I agree the parts are expensive, but dollar-per-HP it seems to do pretty good with most of what I've dug around in. I'd probably do what you're doing, though. I like my 5.0 just a little too much, and that's with all my chevies and pontiacs and god knows what else surrounding it.

its good that your coming back to the 5.0's. the new 2010 stang has been improved so much over the new edge. the seats have been changed so you dont slide in them anymore. they have a stability control system like the skylines do. its a pretty bad *** car. they also adopted the straight shot air intake system that the ls1's have. i cant wait for this car to come out
