Default door trim ?

i taking all the trim and body kit off my 88 gt for bodywork and paint, i cant figure out how to get the trim off the middle of the door? another thing i need to adress after paint is the rear quarter window trim, i know its part of the window seal and mounting system. but is there any way to fix the cracked dry rotted trim? i know i can buy new windows but they are NOT cheap. i have looked in the local yards and most foxes have the same dryrotted and weathered look. does anyone no any way to fix this?

You can buy thin trim for the rear quarter windows that just go right over top the existing trim. I believe it just glues into place. Was at Fun Ford Weekend two years ago and there was a couple vendors for it with some mustangs as examples; looked real sharp! I figure if you go on late model restoration you'll probably find them there on the cheap. Good luck bud.

I think it just lifts up and off, the same way the ground effects attach to the rockers and the fenders...I could be wrong though.
