yea dont be afraid to mess it up, if you get a run just sand it out.

but make sure you are doing LIGHT coats. like 8" + away from your target area and your sweep should be slow and consistent. do any edges or weird shaped areas first before you do large flat areas.

I hope that stuff is better than the VHT Niteshades. Me and my buddy used that on the parking lights and flash to pass lights of his 2nd gen RX7 and they came out purplish. We ended up sanding them back down and used window tint film instead.

VHT is what i used, 6 seperate cans, dont know why they came out purple for you. they were black every time for me, i thought it was great stuff and havent had a problem yet.

did you prep them at all?

Wet sanded them with fine grit paper (don't remember which grit), let em dry, wiped them with lacquer thinner, let them air dry again and then sprayed several light coats.

Come to think of it, another friend of mine did the taillights on his 9000 Aero around the same time and bought it from the same store so it might have just been a bad batch.

The tint film though=sick.

I did it on my tail lights and I think it looks great, I didn't prep the headlights well enough though so they look like crap lol. I got mine off of Summit

Did you have it shook up good or may you got a bad can.
