Depending on how hard tax season will be to survive and oil prices stop dropping off. This is what I will do in 2009 to my little coupe.

408cid
1996 Stock 351W, all machine work that will be necessary
ARP studs top and bottom w/ main girdle
Fully forged internally balanced rotating assembly, high compression ratio
AFR or Trick Flow High Ports - 205cc
Big Ol Solid Roller bumpstick
5000 stall for my Redneck C4
Better internals for my rear, aka bigger axles, full spool kinda stuff
Going to do a full front K-member swap.

I'm sure I am forgetting a few things. I plan on a 9 second index N/A or the car will burn.

New exhaust from the headers back
Shocks and struts
Toss the small rear end for an 8.8 with gears, upper and lower control arms.
Subframe connectors
New paint
Upgrade transmission (haven't decided what to yet)

I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting.

Lets say we left the motor as is, it's built and nothing TOO major(no supercharger ect.) so it should last a while, I would add to it a Tremec/TKO trans, and a Ford 9" rear end. Basically just stuff to make it SUPER reliable and unbreakable, maybe some other suspension stuff, 5 lug conversion ect.

Engine, trans and rear are done but a lot of small related part left to go but here's what I can think of.

Maximum Motor sprorts Rear lower weight jacker control arms
MM adjustable uppers
New fuel tank with open pickup
Torque boxes welded up
Autometer Cobalt gauges (5 inch tach w/shift light, 2 5/8 oil, temp, trans temp, volt)
Fuel pump and lines (still undecided to go manual or electric)
Black Magic S blade Fan
New front seats (undecided)
Rubber floor cover
New Weld Prostars 15X8 rear 15X3.5 front
Pair of Flowmaster super 44's
Modify trans mount to get the rear if the trans down 1/4-3/8 inch so collectors will clear cross member.
In for paint by March
