Default Brake line questions

Hey guys,

I'm about to convert my 91 to the ford racing cobra R disc/5 lug kit. This kit comes with rubber soft lines, I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a set of good braided stainless steel lines for both the calipers and from the body to rearend. I'm looking for quality and fitment. I recently bought a set for my chevelle and to my dismay the only line that fit properly was the frame to rearend.

Also... Do you think I should buy a new hardline that runs the length of the body? The FR kit doesn't include this line either. My current lines are rust free along with the car. I assume the insides are also rust free as the car has never been without brake fluid.

Kinda ****ty that for over 2K$ you don't get stainless soft lines and every single hard line. But w/e.

What are your suggestions with line lockers? I could really care less about this, but since I'm not gonna be doing anymore brake stands(thats how I killed my drums), I wouldn't mind the ability to do burnouts easier.

Thanks

Well I found a 5 piece braided stainless kit from Maximum Motorsports. Of the many different kinds of kits the one that appears to be what I need is advertised for 94-95 cobras. As the ford racing kit is supposedly the same as that on 93-95 cobras.

Does anyone know for sure if the factory cobras would use the same flex lines as the cobra disc upgrade?

The rubber hoses are good enough unless you want to pay alot for braided. I believe latemodel restoration has them and maybe russel will have them. As far a the brake line do a visual inspection. If it is pretty rusty you may want to replace it. If you are going to be replacing the brake line now would be the time to install a linelock.
