Post Getting rid of the AC that doesnt even work

Well since i have bought my 5.0 in the summer the AC was broken. And i figure im not spending $XXX to get it fixed. I know the sell AC Elimenator Kits, but i was wondering if anyone else has done this befor so i can get some info on how hard this is to do. I really dont have alot of expiernce with working on them in the engine. So is it a good idea?
-Thanks

I have the ac eliminator kit from Summit. It is pretty easy just follow the instructions. It basically takes off the compressor, moves the tensioner in the spot where the compressor was with a special bracket.
It makes getting to your distributer bolt easy. i still have the evaporator(if that what its called) in the dash, but everything eles is gone.

I have FRPP's and it moves the p/s pump up to the a/c's spot.
