Default explorer vs. stock intake

Well my buddy just gave me an explorer intake (good condition). I do have the e-303 cam and explorer heads paired with my stock intake. Is the explorer intake a decent upgrade to do compared to my stock intake? thanks guys!

Yes. it's a good upgrade. Identical to the GT40 intake I believe.

Def worth some power. 15-20rwhp.

it is almost identical to the cobra and tubular gt40 manifolds. definitely worth it, especialy with heads and a cam already.

what does putting the gt40 intake on alone add to the wheels?

The Explorer intake is worth the change! ...the lower on the GT-40's all the same! ...only the upper look & flow a little different...but since you got it for free, bolt it on!

i noticed atleast a good 10hp gain with the explorer intake, with the stock throttle body. I just installed a 65mm tb the other day and I feel more power in the mid rpm range.
