Default Calling all turbo guys!!!!

OK here goes the brake down of the engine.

69 Block....adding 4 bolts or girdle or both.....have all just havent decided
Trickflow R heads (as cast)
Crane valve train
Custom crane cam .672/.672 adv duration 304/312 lobe sep 112.
408 stroker kit (cast eagle crank) forged other wise.
high vol oil pump
Pro-Systems carb.
Areomotive A1000 fuel pump...

Now for the actual question...

I have a T3 turbo from a 83 T/C. I was curious if this would be a good 8-10lb boost turbo for this motor...

AND...

what would i have to add/modify to make the turbo work with a carb??

Way too small for that much ci..Unless you plan to run two.And there's really no mods needed to be done for the turbo..Just blow thru carb, hat, hot & cold piping etc...

I'm using two of those on a 306. You're going to need a big turbo if you want to go single. Even two of those are too small for a 408.

turbo is WAY to small for a 408. i run two t3/t4 turbos on my 331. you need something in the 76mm or larger range. the 4 bolt idea is a total waste of money unless the block is 4 bolt from ford. if its a two bolt block there isnt enough metal to drill out for the extra bolts. youll just make the block weaker.
the a1000 is a good pump, its what i run. its rated at 800hp on boosted motors but ive heard it starts to run out at 600-650rwhp.

and thats just for the turbo.

if you do go the nitrous route, plan on spending more then $600 for a 300shot. youll need some sort of fogger or plate setup for that much juice. window switch, WOT switch, bottle warmer, etc, etc. of course thats if you want to do it right.
