Default what clutch? Mcleod clutch stage 3 vs king cobra

whats up guys.

getting REAL close to my T5 swap.

calling up promotion powertrain, they are saying my Mcleod clutch stage 3 clutch i bought from the guy i got the broke transmission from, is "too much" clutch, it will grab to hard, and tear up my new transmission.

they recommend KING COBRA, H/D MOTORSPORT, OR SUPER KING COBRA clutch's.

but im unsure if a king cobra can handle the 450+ foot pounds of torque my car will be putting out on the spray.......

opinions?!

what are you guys running? how do you like em?

i dont mind a heavy pedal ether.

450rwtq? Don't waste your time with King Cobra. I burned one up in a 530rwhp car in two weekends right before I lunched the trans.

Centerforce dual friction. Me and my uncle each run these and have had no problem to date. He had a macleod single disc but his 460 rwhp burnt that up pretty quick.

The DFX is not a good clutch for the street. I have it. It's very grabby/aggressive.

Yup, great clutch, little pedal effort!! Great on the street/strip as well.
