I've owned two of the intakes and carb set-ups that I bought from people that bought them and didn't like them. I have never run one but they were nice conversation peices sitting in the window along with my 6X2 (six two barrel carb) intake for small block Chevys. I sold my Cross Boss intakes back in the 80's to someone that really had to have them really bad. They built an inline four barrel intake for this carb for a standard 302 as well but I've never seen one in person. I imagine a Cross Boss intake Carb and the air cleaner would be worth it's weight in Gold right now considering how rare they were. (They were weight in silver when I sold the ones I had) but Barry Grant is working on one now and is called "Bad Man" or "Fat Man". I think for now I'll be sticking to a single four coventional intake carb set up. If I get a wild hair I'll throw on a tunnel ram. I use to have a nice collection of really weird and wild intake manifolds over the years that I picked up at swap meets and customers. I had a few Mock up engines as you came through the door including a 413 Chrysler with a long ram twin 4bbl carbs. They had 30 inch runners on the intake and the carb sat low right over the exhaust manifolds. I got a lot of "What the hell?" as new people walked through the door.
