i would wait fot the chip until you have some more motor work done, thats where youll see the most significant gain. shorties are nice, long tubes are better though power wise. to be honest i barely noticed a sound difference in my car after the shorties, maybe a little louder in the 2000-2500 range. with long tubes you will hear a difference. but keep in mind you'd have to change your x-pipe, and get the extenders for the 02 sensor. i passed new jersey inspection with my setup

Not if you have a mini starter.

plan on having to undo the motor mount bolts and raising the motor up to get them in and out.
i made the step up from shorts to longs, longs are a pain, things have the be clearanced and moved to make them fit, but will make more power.

it isnt to horrible to install them, just take your time and follow the instructions.
Lt's definitley sound meaner then shorties, i had both and definatley preffer the LT's. The long tubes produce more power because they PULL the exauhst gases out of the heads

Longtubes make more power, but honestly, if you aren't looking for a headache and want something you can bolt on, get some shortties.
