Default thegearbox.org

has anyone ever used them for parts on your t5's? They have a nice gear kit that is cheaper than anywhere I've seen compared to the hp/torque ratings.

I know astro performance and D&D sell great stuff but they can be pricey.

I just spoke with them and the gear sets are all tremec oem and are the super alloy which was oem in the 300 ft lbs t-5 which is what I have (1352-208) and the rebuild kit, price difference is just on the brand of bearing used, I have used timken and torrington with no issues but everyone has different walks of life and stories to tell so I may be the guniea pig for you!!!

Sounds good Mike, I am going to be purchasing my gear cluster set when I am in Iraq along with a rebuild kit to rebuild my christmas present. I have been getting the prices on everything for my 5 speed swap. The only thing that sucks is that I have to purchase EVERYTHING except for the tranny itself unless I find a good deal on craigslist.

when I did my 5 spd swap almost 10 years ago I started the hunt in a junk yard and in fact I remember one cold winter morning removing an almost new flywheel and clutch from an 83 mustang, that 15 dollar purchase worked well for 3 years

Thanks 302army, that is accually a little cheaper than what I have been looking at but I wonder what brands they use.

I look thru the yards here from time to time and if I do find something its gone before I get the money to get it. I am just pretty much buy everything new. Its all the little stuff that ads up like the release fork, its cover, dowel pins, etc.
