I love my truck, even though it has no top end/passing power.

Thats the only thing I miss about that old 5.4 I used to have,

Check the plugs on your '05, they may match up. If not, then a couple minutes with some wire cutters and a solder gun will change the stock plug for the LMAF plug. See what you have first though, as I am not familiar with the trucks...

You will also NEED to tune the ecu... but with the 05, you are looking at a different group of tuners than what the fox mustangs would use. Google up the available tuners for an '05 F-Series...

Why are you asking this question in a 5.0 Mustang section?

i for one got to say that this is somewhat of a stupid idea first thing turboing a 6cyl 2 wd 5 speed truck?

and u said warrantys up aand u owe 6000 on it and u want to screw around and put a turbo on a vehicle that wasnt meant for such a thing let alone the motor?

dude just sell the truck then and get something u want to drive with some ***** ,

i think that this is agian in the wrong section and my opinion a stupid idea ..but good luck to yah....lol

i think we ventured away from the original question. i was just asking a question about mass air in general and the type of unit used and how it could be used. not really a question of a turbo build nor the opinion of a turbo build. just curious how it works is all.

*edit*
thanks dudeboy. thats what i figured would have to happen if the plugs didnt match up. just wasnt sure if you knew offhand if the plugs were the same.
