as for the "WILL CAUSE MORE LEAKS OHHHNOES!" that is complete utter bull$hit.

my car use to leak half a quart of oil every 1500-2000miles. no joke, pissed me off.

switched to mobil 1 full synthetic, and at 2000miles it was just barley showing that it was any lower then when i put the stuff in!

i added MAYBE 1/4th a qt at 2500miles. im running it to 3000 for now, then depending on the color i MIGHT push it out to 5000 between changes.

i beat on the car hard, so i dont really like the idea of waiting to 5k miles.

my truck and my gf's car will get mobil 1 in there next oil change, and both of them will be stretched out to 5-7.5k miles between changes.

It's not Amsoil that did that, you had soemthing else going on, too many possible varibles and unknowns not stated to make an accurate conclusion.......but last Ichecked the ratings for oil testing Amsoil was No 1 pennsoil/penzane syn was No 2 and from there the list went on but I do remember Mobil 1 was like 8 or 9th

My dad keep a cup of that junk, I think he still has it. If he does I'll take a picture of it.

for kicks have it sent in and tested, amsoil will test it for free you just pay postage, they can analize it and tell you if the oil is breaking down
