that's funny. it reminds me of a guy at work who just paid a ton of money to replace the camshaft in his 6 cyl mustang because the mechanic told him it was getting coolant into the oil...hmm.

Ask the mechanic to explain How it is doing such.........I'm sure it's a miscommunication..........and for all you guys who have no clue how the tfi iv system works, the distributor / tfi not only controls spark but the ecm also uses the PIP signal from the distributor to control the ground side of the FP relay for pump operation also injector pulse is determined from the dizzy/tfi.....so there is a chance that the tech is NOT blowing smoke up the OP's butt......now if I were to explain the jargin I just used up above to a customer, they's be like huh??? wtf?? and still think I was blowing smoke up their butt for lack of understanding....either way find out why the tech said such before making accusations!!!
