Cobra Manifold and 1.7RR worth the time on GT?
Would adding a used Cobra manifold and some new 1.7 RR to a GT with bolt-on intake/exhaust work be a worthwhile endevor? Top it off with a dyno tune, and how much RWHP/TQ would I expect to see?
Anyone running a similar set-up?
If I were to add GT-40X heads and a E-303 cam later down the road, would the 1.7RR still be usuable, or would clearance become an issue?
Thanks guys.

I don't like the Cobra Intake. Buy a used TrickFlow or Edelbrock instead. I wouldn't hit a hog in the azz with a 1.7 roller rocker swap. It was just something Ford did to keep from putting the right cam in the Cobra. Buy the right cam and use 1.6's. Chances are you could add that intake and rockers and if you didn't know it was on it you wouldn't be able to tell the differance.

...I'm a hugh fan of the Cobra GT40 intake, I ran in the mid 10's with it! ...It's the start of a good foundation to all bolts on IMO...I wouldn't bolt on the 1.7's...Just go with and E cam and some 1.6 RR and the X heads! NA you'll need 24# injectors...
Let the fun begin!
