Default what diameter p-rod/guideplates?

im gettin ready to assemble my heads and mock everything up coming up towards the end of the month early march. i need the guideplates to get the heads build, what diameter p-rods/guide plates should i get? 3/8th or 5/16th? i just assume just go 3/8ths

it'll be a mild build nothign really wild. just around 300 hp n/a and nitrous is in the future soon. not sure if that matters.

5/16, 3/8ths pushrod wont fit without substantial work on the pushrod hole in the head

5/16. The holes look big because a push rod moves more than just up and down. The pushrod moves in and out towards the valve and also has some flex. You should see and engine at 8000 rpm on camera and shown in slow motion. Comp Cams has cameras that allow you to see engine parts under extreme stress. You take the tour at their factory and you will be scared to drive the mini van to get a loaf of bread, lol
