yours looks so much farther back than mine? its in first but the shifter lever itself isn't the problem, like i said its the block that bolts onto the transmission.

You have to be more clear, the block?? Ate actual base of the shifter? Maybe you have the wrong shifter for your application

They only make one as far as I see for the Fox Mustang. It bolts onto the transmission correctly and yes I mean the base of it. It doesn't really make much sense, I'm just as confused as you are; especially after seeing that this shifter is working fine for everyone else.

Look at his center console its smaller than yours, the opening where the shifter is (LOOK).
