Default What are these?

When i was taking off the bolt underneath behind the driverside wheel fender these things fell out. They look like shims maybe door shims. Now that i have the fender back on and the shims weren't need down there, i noticed that the driver door doesn't sit flush with the fender, its a little below it.

What are these things?

1/8 of an inch maybe. here is a pic. The look a little red (my car color). if they were door shims, how many would there be? there are six bolts, so would there be six shims?

I bet they're shims, same thing happened to my truck not to long ago, I closed the door and heard metal ting on the ground, picked them up and they too had some of the color my truck is on them.

those are alignment shims, not used on your car, someone may have used them to shim a fender??
