Default Have decided to keep and build 5.0 please help

I recently put my 91 lx up for sale only to get disapointed by the offers i got. I wanted to sell for an 03 cobra but have had a change of heart. I am just going to build the car i have and thats where i need help. I have a lot of average bolt on parts pushing 277rwhp and 314rwtq without nitrous and estimated 327rwhp and 363rwtq with a 50 shot (havent had nitrous on dyno yet). Im pretty sure i want to build the bottom end and start totally fresh. One thing i know for sure is that i will be getting a kenne bell charger. i want to know what short block combo should i be looking for? Heads? my target is 500rwhp no nitrous. Whats the best start for me i have $5k to work with and more over time>.....? list of current mods below. thanks!

put it in suspension. you have nothing in that department. You can throw money away at power, but if you cant hook what good is it going to do you? damn dude, only going 13.54s with that kind of power.....suspension man!

car looks awesome btw. im surprised you didnt get any good offers with that "resale-red" color.

what kind of car? just a drag car? DD? what are you wanting? when it comes to suspension you really gotta decided one way to go.

Very much so +1

I would have to suggest a similar idea to what I am aiming at, generally good for all driving, but doesnt excell at one over another. My car is a dd first and a strip car second.

1OEM style load control springs in the rear
2Santhuffs up front
3strange adjustable shocks all arround
4adjustable control arms (top or top and bottom, you have more controlabiliy with both)
5Relocation brackets for the lower control arms (supposing I can find any or make a pair)

I figgure $=
1:$100 (already have them)
2: $200
3: $400
4: $250
5: $100

~$1k net. A rather healthy street/strip combo if I do say so myself, which I do.

my drag set up is a little better and same cost

summit package= 700
strange engineer 10 way adj. shocks/struts
eibach drag springs
hotchkis CC plates

UPR solid control arms = 225 (with hardware)
BOI XL subframes = 100(cross brace, and lower torque box reinforcement plate

so if you want drag you got a decent set up for 1025 dollars.

generally the same idea with the main difference of the eibach springs. Santhuffs are a little more spendy but well worth it. Next time you change out the eibachs take a gander at them.

Tangent: Why do you recomend the cc plates?

comes in the package and you have suspension tune ability with them. you may not "need" them in order to have a proper allignment but you can adjust them for different drive types.
