Default Something is wrong with my steering

I just recently had a new rack and pinion put in my car and had a 4 wheel alignment done. When I do a u turn or if I take a sharp turn going down the road, the steering wheel does not automatically spin back straight. It's like stays in the turn postion. This almost causes me to wreak because when I take a turn, I'm expecting the wheels to straighten back up and they dont. Does anyone have any ideas what going on?

Take it back to the shop that did the work. FYI, can't do a 4 wheel align on a solid axle car. Hope you didn't pay extra for that.

The boots were all broke and some of the parts had went bad.

4 wheel alignment of a mustang? Id be pissed if you had to pay extra for that. take it back and see if the price for a regular alignment is less and get the difference

your caster setting is what makes the wheel go back to straight. where i had mine aligned, after i replaced the rack, they printed out the specs they put it at. i don't know where you can find the recommended specs.

Check your ticket and make sure you didn't pay for a 4 wheel alignment. If you did go back and make them adjust the price.

I dont think I paid for a 4 wheel alignment because it only cost me $25. I didn't realize you couldn't do a 4 wheel alignment on this car. Thats just what I told him I wanted.

I do remember the guy telling me that because this car has been lowered 2" that he adjusted the cambers as far as they will go but it still needed a little more. He said that I might have to go with an after market camber kit to get it perfect. But before I had the rack and pinion replaced, it was fine and the aligment was fine too. No tire wear on the inside or outsides of the tires. So what could be different now????

Are you running caster/camber plates? W/ that much drop you should be.
