I normally have Comp Cams do my custom grinds but have used Crane a good bit as well. The current cam in my 347 is a Crane custom grind. I used Crane because I was in a hurry as we were doing tuning. I called at 10am and FedEx had it in my shop at 3pm the next day.

You "technically" bought, or were sold an OTS camshaft.

I'm another satisfied CI customer.
Jay has helped me through my entire engine build, answering a ton of questions...

I'm not going to be the first person to start the 'Jay vs. Ed' battle...
If you want, send me a pm and I will respond to links to justify the decision I made to go with Jay...

Good luck,
jason

Billet cams are stiffer, due to a stiffer material.

As the cam spins the imbalance from the weight of the lobes, and the pressure from the springs causes the cam to deflect.

The deflection in the cam will create a harmonic throughout the valvetrain.

When it comes to cams, stiffer is better...

I would never have a custom ground roller cam done in anything other than Billet steel. On the flip side I wouldn't buy a custom cam for a street car that will rarely see the North side of 6000 rpm. Choose wisely

Guys, PLEASE dont start another one of your pointless arguements in my thread. Both of you seem to be very knowledgable, and lets keep it that way. I dont care who is smarter or knows more about SBF motors than the other. If you have some sort of info to give on the topic of this thread, then please do so. If not, then DONT POST!!!! Don't even reply to this post. If you want to PM me telling me to shut my mouth, then feel free to do so.

Thank you, Roman.
