Default Quarter mile time from tonight

hey guys just posting my quarter mile times from tonight. didnt take out my modded stang, took my dd out for the 1st time just to get a feel. seeing what your thoughts are and if sounds about right. info on car: 88 gt hatchback, AOD, only mods are: cai, x pipe and mac mufflers, 2 underdrive pullies, street tires.

60 ft 2.415
1/8 9.906 73 mph
1.4 15.266 92 mph

I was pleased. although i think i could have launched harder for a better 60ft. it was mustang night and i got to beat a 01 gt auto. good enuff for me lol.

those are decent but i think you could do a little better. i thought mustangs ran 15.1 stock. but i'm not 100 percent on that one.

hmm not sure. you mite be right cause i was getting 14.7 in a completely stock 92 convertible with a 5-speed tho. 15.1 may be right, brand new. but my 88 has 200k.

man it was a fun night. good stang turnout. saw a lot of decently modded 5.0s running hi 14s-hi 15s. no mod like the driver mod.

wow , slow.............. and 60's are terrible, you should be low 14's, your losing an easy .5 of a sec on the short time = need some sticky tire

yah just what i was thinking. i should have atleast took some air out of them. but i kinda wanted to see what it had under the same conditions i drive on the street. how much do you think i can drop off the 60 ft time with the same street radials? i was taking off a lil too conservative do to tire spin. it was my first time taking this one out.

ps: you really think i can get a low 14 out of it as is on street tires?

not sure low 14s would be possible just judging by your trap speed.

Yeah, it's possible. Here's a slip from my wifes vert. Basically stock w/ gears and underdrives and slicks. Is a 5 spd though. She's a 1/2 faster sec in the short time though. That's makes a huge difference

yah i was thinking the same thing about my 60 ft times. i took off slow trying not to burn out the 1st pass. the 2nd pass i launched hard and burned out quite a bit. the results were the same 15.2. so i knew there was room for major improvment in that department. cant wait to get out there again. now i have a feel for it, ill try to get that 60ft time down a couple of tenths atleast, so i can get into 14's.

im sure i could use a better tire, but i kinda want to see what i can get out of it under the same conditions i drive it daily.
