Angry gettin on my nerves

I've been having trouble with the car lately since I redone my timing cover gasket. the coolant has been foaming, but it never runs hot, but whenever I shut the car off, water comes out of the overflow jug. It's been doin this since last Wed. b4 I even shut the car off today there was water coming out of the jug and it was foamed up and then I took the pressure off the cap and it just started gushing out for a good minute and every bit of it was foamed. My dad seems to think it's the water pump not circulating enough or the rads. stopped up but the highest it went today was to the L for the temp.

Can anybody help me here

sounds like your temp gauge isnt working right, find someone with a good one and hook it up, or buy one but as for the overheating/foaming, id say your water pump isnt working properly

Do you have a blown head gasket? Smell the in side of the radiator and if it smells like exhaust gases then you have a blown head gasket. You do not need to be over heating to have a blown head gasket or have water in the oil.

foaming or bubbles? sounds like air in the system either way

the factory temp gauge is garbage.. dont trust it

im guessing either:
- wrong belt direction (not turning waterpump)
- hoses mixed up

what you should do:
- get yourself a coolant pressure tester
- repost with results
