my brother just recently got a 347 stroker built and installed in his mustang, and he has oil blowing out of the breather on the passenger side valve cover pretty good, tried a couple breathers i guess and nothing helped. the car is efi. any ideas whats going on here???

if its moderate I would consider it blow by, if it seems like too much try routing back into stock position?

If it's just blow-by you could always mount a stem instead of the filter and run a braided fuel line into one of your headers. That way it just shoots out the back instead of making such a mess.

Does it have a baffel? Is the pcv hooked up?

how many miles on the motor? if under 100, start beating on it. you need load to seat the rings. i had blow by from my motor when i first started it. a few wot blasts to the rev limiter got rid of most of it. took it to the track once when there was only about 40miles on it and the blow by was gone.

if oil is squirting out, he might not be running a baffle in the valve cover

I had the same problem with my 347 when i got it... but once the rings seated... all was good!

prolly 5 miles on it, has to tune it yet. sooo. hopefully its just the rings, he's getting it tuned within the next month here so i guess i'll wait till it gets tuned and put some miles on it and try that. thanx.
