93 fox oem pistions?

Hi does anyone know if the 93`s had factory forged or hyperutectics,i though i herd the 93`s had the hypers if this is true are the hypers as good as the forged?

93 have the hyper pistons ... they are lighter and not as strong as the forged pistons ..but unless you plan on having 400+ horse power dont worry about it cuz most likely the block will go before the pistons ....

hyperutectics!! ...they're ok, I wouldn't run a lot of boost threw them!

The only 5.0's that came forged were 89-92 I believe...

'87 & 88 Did as well...I also believe the '83-85's ...86's flattop's, not sure if they're forged!

If you don't add any type of artificial atmosphere I think they are better. Not stronger but better suited for N/A engines. Better fit, less piston rock, normally lighter, better power. Piston ring gap is critical though.
