Default ya'll was right

it was a blowed head gasket it wasn't bad but it was bad enough for it to misfire.It was the #2 cyl. here's a pic


and are these piston's Keith black or summit brand

Always good when you can find an obvious problem. I see someone slipped in a set of Federal Mogul pistons on yeah, lol

o ok so that's what kind of pistons they are my brother built the short block are those pistons any good

that's the sealed power/federal mogal label, just stock/rebuild replacements most likely

The seal power and Speedpro lines of Federal Mogul Pistons use the fat lightning bolt on top so they may be forged maybe not. They are decent pistons either way. Cetainly better than what TRW is putting out these days. I was having so many fitment issues with TRW even on stock stroke engines I stopped using them They use to build a great piston years ago and now they have gone to Chit.

o I do know that forged tho but I didn't remember what kind they were cause it was almost 4 yrs. ago

DId you pressure test it to find the leak or did you just start tearing it down?

I was pretty sure that was what it was and which side it was so Ijust strted to tear it down. Even tho it's gonna take longer, it is still cheaper than buying a rad or water pump
