Sorry to read about all of your troubles in the beginning of the build but it sure looks like you got that beast put in its place. Cant wait to see some more vids of it, good job and good luck.

I laughed my azz off it the first part of the thread. I thought it was someone who was just posting all the things that could be done wrong. I thought it was a joke. Then as I got down in the thread. Oh my God! he was serious. Costly lessons. Glad you got it worked out.

yea they were costly lessons lol
its unfortunate to tell people all the things that went wrong, but i did learn what not to do. theres plenty of more little things i have run into, but thats aftermarket, its to be expected.

i went from just knowing how to change oil (o and i learned on that car about double gasket'd oil filters LOL) to building a long block. huge learning curve for me, and the only thing i had was the forums for guidance. that makes it rough.

even though i have bought parts for that car about twice now, im not happy that i got it running. it wont be too much longer and ill get to take it down the road.

ii bought a 347 shortblock with a CI cam included, so got ahold of jay and he did some looking in his records. and these heads are what the cam was made for, and he said the rest of my combo should work well with them as well. i think mine are the same as yers 195s same valves and bowl blended. plus he set them up with springs for my cam. they do look nice mine should be here soon
