A friend of mine that knew I was painting my car and knew I was iffy on the cowl hood sent me this photo of one of friends cars back home where he lived using an 85 coupe and an 83 scoop. I thought it looked pretty decent and real suttle (it's my understanding this one has a Big Block) and since I had already decided my car was going to be black and I had the stuff to do it. This mod only cost me about ten dollars( paint, a few dabs of RTV, and just a little welding wire (found a small crack in the hood brace). There is something just real non-threatning about the looks of this car that I really liked.

If you look closely at the front of his scoop you can see about an inch of air cleaner sticking through. I did tell you he got the scoop from me but I was thinking of someone else. He had asked me about the scoop I had that came off of my wifes car but I had already sold it to another guy and he may have bought it from him. I do so much swapping and trading it's hard to keep track. If you look close right in front of the rear wheel you can see the 6X2 oval exhaust poking out from under the car. I saw it before the scoop went on. It wasn't pretty. He had a Terminator Cobra and sold it when this one was almost finished. He likes it better than the terminator. He's old school like me.
