Default Spoiler wont sit right

I am putting an lx spoiler on my 84 hatch. I took the old spoiler off and I am reusing the old holes plus a few new ones I had to drill. My problem is 2-fold. 1) the driver side sits forward just a little more than the pass side 2) there is about an 1/8" to 1/4" gap between the spoiler and hatch lid. Any help would be appreciated.
