Default 302 with 351 heads torque specs.

i have a 302 with 351 heads and arp head bolts. i need to know what the proper torque specs are cuz i looked up on arp and a stock 302 in 72ft.lbs and a 351w is 90-100ft.lbs. dont know what to go by because of the head block configuration.

If you have 7/16th's bolts or studs, use that torque settings for your application.

1/2" head bolts of the earlier 351W's used 90-100 ft/lbs.

If you’re using the 7/16" bolts stick with 72ft.lbs. If you converted the block over to the 1/2 bolts us the 90-100. The torque difference in this case is primarily based of the bolt size and thread pitch not the head.
