Default Single Plane Intakes... Loss of Torque?

HELL NO!

for you guys thats been around awhile, you know of the build i have been working on.

lets say my friend gave me a best guess tune to go try out and datalog, and i got a little excited yesterday and went WOT real quick...
STOCK THROTTLE BODY on an intake thats bigger than a super vic (the fox throttle cable will be here in a couple days for the 90mm )

Aode 2.4 1st gear, 4.30's, 315/35/17 tire, and 2230 = 17mph i stuck it wot. i let out at 5494rpms.......= 41mph......
it took 1.99 seconds
my shift point is at 6500

theres still plenty more left in the car, plenty.

So i challenge anyone to tell me that a Custom cam, canfield 195 heads, a HUGE single plane intake and LT's with 3in exhaust is too much for a street car.

some might give the arguement that well you have 4.30's thats too much gear for me, well i got news for you, put 3.73's in it and you still will have plenty of acceleration power. Think about this, an aode has a 2.4 first gear, a t5 has a 3.35 first.
2.4 * 4.30 = 10.32 worth of gear multiplication.
3.35 * 3.27 = 10.95 worth of gear multiplication.
given the same tire, the t5 would still accelerate faster in first gear.

i went the 170cc head, ots cam to match and a long runner efi intake route... never again will i **** money down the drain like that.
the old combo wont hold a freakin match to this beast.

ok well i have the answers.
the speedo is off. i have a tweecer and BE to datalog. i used the datalog to get the info, i did not even log MPH.

trans ratio, tire size, rpm = mph. thats how i know.

We'll have to meet up one day man. My car should be done in about two months, and I think Chris (Blessed) is about to install nitrous on his car. That would be a fun matchup. lol

The "Mr. Bad" button already exist young grasshopper!!!! It pulls like a fuggin freight train out of the gate. Way better than it ever has before. It just doesn't hook worth a dam on the street if I try to squeeze it out of the hole. It does, however work great on say second gear shift and activation at the same time.
