dyno tune tomorrow got some opinion questions
So i have my dyno tune set for tomorrow and I am going in knowing i will be losing some hp being that i went from a stick to an auto, but i have a question for you blower guys. As of right now my tune is really conservative and im still making 474 to the rear (via stick) but do you think it will be ok to tell my tuner to go a little more aggressive on the tune and see if i can stay around the 474 to the rear area?
I will be filming it live around 10 am so if any one wants to watch live ill be at Walsh motorsports all day streaming live video on Stickam.com/50kids.

You dont dyno tune to impress (yourself or others) you use the dyno as a tool not a toy.
You use it to measure power differences after changing a part of the opperations to show if you were going in the right direction(a/f/timing/etc) and you use it to help show if your investment is opperating within perameters that makes it safe to drive without issue.
Im sure you know that, I feel the need to state it though.

dyno's are toys!!!!!!
hehe they make you smile as the hp and torque curve goes up, kinda like a roller coaster!
But i agree with portmaster, stay conservative. Your running a stock short block right? cause those start cracking up around 500 (depending a lot on the tune)

slo i know what its used for ive had the thing tuned 6 times now. I was just saying theses a bunch of nice cars there I always like watching other guys get tuned.
Portmaster i was thinking about keeping it the same down low for when i drive around n the street and from 4000-up going a bit harder on it since when its at the track the 4000 stall i have in it will be using all the top end. And i sure hope the et's will be better

At 475 RWHP you are already pushing your luck on a stock block. Better to stay on the safe side and be racing all summer than blow it up and be a spectator. BTW I bet you go half a second quicker at least by just going to the auto/big stall.

With my old Camaro SS I went from a 6 speed to a auto with a 4000 stall and the car went from a 12.13 best to a 11.8, no other changes were made. 60 foot went from a 1.86 best to consistent 1.5's. It was by far the best change I ever made to the car. Eventually I got it to run 11.5's. I was only at about 390 rwhp and I am sure the car was heavier than yours. Granted these are two totally different cars, but it's food for thought.
*edit my MPH went down a bit with auto, but that 120 mph is really good, I have been 11.4 with a 118 mph on a 1.60 60 foot.
