Burning Oil!
Sorry i am new at this site i no i posted a form yesterday about this but really need some help here i cant figure out why im burring oil. its an 89 mustang with less then 5000 miles on it. you can barely tell that it smokes even when you get on the car but it still eats oil i replaced the pcv valve and grommet that still didn't seem to help and did a compression test and they all read from 160 to 170. when i would pull the pcv valve off the car would smoke alot last summer. i pulled the pcv valve off the other day and it was dripping oil and i don't believe its supposed to be doing that. the motor has a c&l intake with the mass air flow sensor, cobra 1.7 roller rockers, msd ignition under drive pulleys, its 30 over and i have a comp cam with a 220 224 lift and a t5 tranny, and im about to order the sct tuner chip from american muscle idk if that's any help

my 86 burns 1 quart every 1000 miles. has done it from day 1. I took it back to Ford and they said it was normal. Started running 50 wt oil and now it goes 1500 miles per quart. And there is no black smoke at all. IMO I wouldn't worry about it too much, but then again my engine is totally stock
