Obviously it's his choice but he's looking for suggestions. I wouldn't run my car with any amount of boost without at least a wideband on it and especially if i was having the issues he's having...

excellent idea. I am going to call a buddy up and get some. I am thinking the the car was running lean to totally cut out. Even if it only did it in 4th gear, that is probably what it was.

Found the solution. The fmu lines were backwards. Well not the lines for they would only go on one way but, the fittings in the fmu were installed in the wrong places. I am thinking the fmu was slamming shut and giving it over a 100psi of pressure with just 1 lb. of boost. Reason being I didn't blow something up.

oh, so I don't look like a total douche, the fmu came with the fittings installed already.

stock mass air and autolite 24s gapped to 30
A tuner 30 miles from here recommended NGK copper plugs a step colder but I didn't get a part number. My mechanic said they would foul quickly with a cold plug.

Your plugs look fine. I am running the autolite 24's@.028 w/15lbs of boost with no problems. The only thing is, my car is running rich and they do like to foul out quickly(about every three months). But you should get your car tuned, even though you are only making 6lbs of boost.

I am, I found a tuner 30 minutes from here yesterday. He only works on mustangs. He told me 499 inlcudes everything.(dyno, chip and charts) It is going to be on hold a little while though. I went to up my timing yesterday and noticed the blower damn near slug the balancer off with one test drive. (it slipped off the rubber a little bit) I will be putting one on tonight.

I drove my car like that for a long time... when we first got it on the rollers the dyno tech almost **** his pants...
That looks like A/F ratio that my buddies '03 Mach had with a C&L intake ONLY. Everyone one sh*t themselves after we had just spun a car with that A/F ratio to 6800rpms.
