Which Drag Radials

You guys may have remembered my post about putting the 4:10 gears in my 89 GT that my brother-in-law gave me. I got them in and what a difference. I also replaced the clutches in the diff=both tires spin now. My rear tires are pretty much shot so i'm thinking of putting some drag radials on it. Which do you guys recomend Nitto, M/T or other. As always I value your opinions.

I've had get luck with my Nitto DR's on the street / track...

I think a lot of guys run the nittos, I've seen their off roading tires ect, so if the street tires are anything like them they appear to be decent tires.

I run M/T drag radials. I couldn't ask for a better performing tire.

I ran nittos for a couple years. Good tire for street/strip. Not as good a sticky as Mickeys, but still a good tire none the less. I'm getting ready to put a set of M/T drag radials on my car (already mounted on wheels, just not on the car yet) , but they will be strictly for street use. I race on slicks.

i got a pair of Mickey thompson ET street radials, they work great on the street (havnt had it to the track yet) and i have gotten caught out in the rain a few times and never had any trackion issues with them

i had the nittos.. they were ok they were a good street drag radial. they last quite a long time but as for the track i wouldnt recommend them. they do a decent job but i ran the same 60' w/ street tires.. i want to go w/ mickeys next time. but basically just to drive to the track and back

I'd recommend the Nitto DRs for a car that sees mostly street. They wear really nice and when you get them good and hot at the track they get a LOT sticker than a normal street tire.

my vote goes to the nittos also...i have them in 315 on my 94...with the 3.73s i used to spin 1,2, and chirp third..now if it spins its on corners..but straight line in 1 i hook good, second wont spin at all anymore.

my et streets hook better then my hoosier slicks at the track. on the street they are ok, i cant floor it in first or ill spin them but about half way through second they will hook if i punch it.

ET street radial at 35psi on the street hook's damn good.

18-21psi at the track, spin em for about 2 seconds after you see smoke, and I havent had a issue on a 75shot with my old AOD.

with the T5 im going to start at 21psi, and move down, same type of burn out, start launching at 3,000rpm, and move up the rpm's or burn out depending on results.

expensive tire, but damn they are great. No issues in heavy rain ether.

I've have had the MT's and I currently have the Nittos...after having the MT's the nittos don't compare. When I burn my Nittos off I am getting some MT's again.
