yea i remember those, to bad spark always takes the path of least resistance, which normally is which ever electrode is a lil closer, and not splitting into 3 or 4 different directions

Those E3's are JUNK. My friend got some for free for his v6 F-150. The car ran like crap, and had a huge miss. We checked the plug wires and everything. They were just junk. We threw in NGK's and the car ran like new again.

Well I'll tell ya. Ive been around for a good while and I've seen these gimmik plugs come and go. It's just another flash in the pan. I remember back in the mid 60's someone came out with almost the identical plug sold through JC Whitney. If you really want to pick up a few hp with spark plugs just index your Autolites. Index washers are cheap.

Default E3's are JUNK

I usually don't fall for gimmick plugs. I'm the first one to tell people to skip the iridum-super-plasma-fad-of-the-week plug and stick to the old faithful autolite platinums (indexed on my 1970 Mustang). For some reason (I don't recall why) I put a set of those E3's in my wife's winter car; a 1998 Grand AM, now with 150,000 miles. I put these plugs in about 16 months and 15,000 miles ago. Well, the fancy lower electrode on one of them completely broke off and the others looked like they were on their way. These are WORSE than a gimmick, they are out and out dangerous for your car. STAY AWAY!

I'd never run platnuim plugs in a carbed car, for obvious reasons
