minimal difference at low HP levels

shorties are actually dyno proven to work better on mild cars

ask yourself what is more important dyno #s or track#'s if it's the latter then the lt's are your best choice..

There was a comparison a while ago that showed LTs being more power efficient even on stock engines.

Good article. Thank you. In it, it stated a 350hp mark. Less power and they recommend shorties but more they recommend longs.. due to scavenging only really occurring at that mark... So back to my engine: 5.0l

Ported gt40p heads- 1.94 intakes and 1.54 exhausts
Trickflow street upper/lower intake
Compcams xe270hr-12 cam
24lb Injectors and 73mm maf
70mm throttle body and egr (plugged off)
BBK CAI
Electric water pump
A/C and Smog delete
2.5"o/r h pipe and 2.5" magnaflows

Am I anywhere near the 350 fwhp?

LOL.... love those "If you are making 350 hp or more" magazine conclusions............. I guess exhaust tuning has no effect below that power threshold........

I'm aware of the whole scavenging issue just curious to where the differences are in power and at what locations on the band.
you cant get FMS ceramic shorties for 100$ anywhere because there 320$ new
