for a fox to run with a new edge a fox needs some help, with your mods I would of thought you'd of done better.

If the car isn't tuned it could definitely be running under par, but your gears really give you the most advantage off the line.

i raced my friends 99 gt with just an o/r h... my mods are just intake and exhaust and possibly gears (sadly i don't know) but it was dead even till i hit the brakes once... and i beat him one other time.

I had AFR 165s, Eddie Performer 5.0, E-303, 4.30s, MAC Lts, o/h H, and flows and a new edge couldnt hold a candle to me. I was power shifting at 5500rpms. I would pull my friends 04 GT like now tomorrow, was dead even with my friends 99 Cobra that puts 330 to the wheels until, and would walk away from a 06 GT w/ exhaust and a CAI. All are stick cars. You should be beating that new edge.

So my next question is...will gettin' the car on the dyno and getting a tune be the best bet for me right now?

yea a tune would help you out ALOT if the car isn't pulling like it should. i dont remember, did you have some 24lb injectors? the 19's MAY be cutting you short.

you should have walked all over him. heck... i pulled a 5speed stock 05GT from a dig to the start of 3rd when he started to pull away. that was just on gears, suspension, cam and intake. something isnt right...

That's what i'm saying. I was in somewhat of shock when we went neck and neck. I was like something ins;t right lol I wasn't too happy.

I will say if your car is not tuned that makes a huge difference.
