Question HELP My car is about to driver me CRAZY

I bought this 91 5.0 convertable about a month and a half ago. This car is driving me crazy I have an issue with long crank times the idle air control has been replaced thats when this problem started. The idle air control was replaced because it kept dying out, now it cranks really long before it will start, then it has an intermitten high idle. Any ideas?

do you have a fuel pressure gauge? extended crank is sometimes caused by fuel pressure leak down. either damaged line or damaged check valve in the fuel pump.

so you have a FPR? if so check for leak down after you turn off your motor.

possible the IAC is no good. try running codes as stated above.

takes only a few seconds. turn on the car. turn it off and then watch the gauge. if you lose all FP within a few seconds you have an issue.
