right now i have an automatic with 4.10s. would i be fine keeping the 4.10s with a T5?

I use to have a AOD and installed 4.10's.

then bought the aggresive gear'ed Cobra T5 that has a 3.55 first gear ratio and swaped it in.


first gear is rediculous, because its from 0-25mph or so, so even when crusing around, and being easy on the car about the time you let out the clutch for first your putting it back in for second.

the RPM's on the highway are the same as they where with the AOD. I will be getting a taller rear tire to off set it a bit, but i love it, VERY aggresive.

You will be fine. 1st gear will suck, it is usually a short gear anyway

If first gear is that bad then just start in second ^_^

i suggest putting a taller tire on and do the swap. 5 speeds are alot funner to drive than autos.

haha, thats what i do most the time. I love that i can leave off idle rpm's in second gear if i really want to
