Default CF / fiberglass roofs?

Does anyone know if they make them for Mustangs, let alone SN cars?

lol, no for weight reduction, like 86 said. I know now theyre making Evo and WRXs with them, so if they make those from the factory, it has to be out there somewhere for our cars, theyve been around long enough..

If you want to do weight reduction by way of CF or FG parts... you do your fenders, and door skins.. NOT your roof

Ideally I want them all, but think about how much weight is stored up high with the entire roof being metal, you reduce that, you lower your gravity center.

I know that I can get fenders, doors, trunk ect, therefor Im wondering about the roof at the same time.,

The weight you would save will be off set by the amount of cage/chassis work needed to make it work. You a have a uni-body car, that means that the roof and rear quarter panels are a structural part of the car, you cannot just cut out the roof or the roof skin, they car will fold in half. You would need a full tube chassis car to be able to correctly do what you are asking about. There are better ways to reduce weight IMO.

Thats pretty much what I figured, but hoped there was a possibility if it happening. IDK how that guy from near me made a targa without any tubing or cagework

I saw someone who did a targa top on a celica, if he opened both doors while the top was off, you could watch the car sag in the middle.

It was funny to watch him bounce on the door sill and see the car bend down under him
