question about alternator wire (with pictures)
i have a 3g alt swap and im in process of wiring hiding but i'll also ditching any un needed wiring. my question is the stock alt charge wire.(black/orange) well i didnt realize that there was a yellow/white wiring fused with it going from the D plug to the starter solonoid. can i get rid of it too? i know i dont need the black/orange wire anymore.
here is the fusing of the wires. orange/black with the white/yellow

ok i found a diagram...so can someone tell me if i delete this wire will it adversly affect anything since i'm 3g alt now? you can find the wire's im talkin about on the far bottom right side coming off the alt.

ive had the 3g done for almost a year now without the orange/black wires conencted. they are the stock charging system.
that thread doesnt specify and they tell you wrong info anyways. it says you must put eyelets on the orange/black wires and attach it to the back of the alt along with the 4gauge power wire which is wrong. you dont need them at all.
so my question is regarding the yellow/white wire which has no refference in anyway in that thread. so again my question stands. is it required to have it for alt work correctly? or should i only snip off the orange/black because the white/yellow wire is required
the only reason i see it may be required is because its linked up with the voltage regulartor . but i wasnt sure of its purpose of going to the solonoid.
