not happy how my 86 gt looks paint wise, pics, looking for ideas
i got a better nose a while ago so i had to paint it from silver to white, i did around the light and i think it looks funny. i kinda prefer the car was all black. im tempted to grey primer the b*tch since i cant afford the body work to justify a pro paint job. im a diy type person and rattle can looks like crap buying paint to spray it can suck if i dont do it right the first time so i really dont know what to do here. i need a new hood my cowl is smashed in and theres body damage everywhere that i fixed as good as i could. heres some pics

I like the fact that my car's black moldings etc were painted body color...
The last two weeks I had to repair my rear passenger quarter since it chipped from rolling the fender lips...
Paint and body work is always extensive and takes more time than you think. The actual painting part is the easy part. It's everything that leads up to it aka, body, paint, prep, mask; that takes the most time.
All I painted was the vertical lip in the fender of the quarter and had to use some creative masking tecniques in order to make a good clear blend.
When I paint my future coupe project if need be, it'll be single stage black or flat black.
Didn't realize how big these pictures were...wow...that's on my cellphone... Nokia N85 FTW.

wow your car looks so nice now.i see u finally gave in for some e7 qrtr glass! looks way cleaner in my opinion. i think u remember my 86 when i first got it so im sure you know the extent of my original body damage. theres no way i can paint it black and expect it to look good. but ive had 3 white foxs and im tired of white!im not sure what to do except work on my body work skills and try and perfect the car or spen money i dont have right now on expensive body work or paint it some sorta blue color maybe??
