Do you thinks it's worth the hassle taking out my 351w edelbrock performor rpm heads and putting them in the 5.0? the 5.0 currently has gt40 heads, cobra intake, and 2000-6000 lunati cam.

I was thinking of putting some victor jrs on the 351 or some trickflow fast as cast heads. The cam in the 351 is making power from 1500 to 6500.

depends on how much you like swapping parts, if combo is tuned accordingly to the new addition a gain may be had

If the 5.0 has 9.7 compression with the cast iron gt40s how much will the compression drop with the aluminum heads?

what is the cc difference between the two heads??

I don't know what cc's are gt40s but the gt40p are 60cc. the 351w rpms are 60cc/170cc intake

I think the gt40's are 64cc's. The heads are better than your gt40's yes if thats what your asking.

I think you'd see a nice gain w/ those heads over the GT40s as long as it was tuned and everything afterwords. Just don't forget the head bolt reducers since 351s use larger head bolts.
