Default How is your 5" tach mounted on your 79-86?

Well mine came with the tach on top of the dash board, which i hate. When i get a new dash pad i want to mount it lower so no one outside the car (driving) could see it but me. Post some pictures of how you mounted yours!

i know mine isn't hidden, but the dash pod set up does look cleaner than a hack job.

an 86 pod might not look as good as a 87-93 pod??

you don't want it hidden too well or you'll be taking your eyes off the road too much.

Thats what sucks about the 79-86 dashes. There isn't really too many places to put a 5" tach. I had mine up top too but I found myslef still looking at the stock one more than I did the aftermarket. I think the only place I really would look for it is in the corner by the a pillar, like where I had it for my truck. I hate mounting in that dash pad though.

You can see mine in my sig.

http://florida50.com/1979-1986-instrument-clusters.htm

that would be your easiest bet. They sell different setups with different gauges and blank ones.
