Default Airflow for heat, defrost, & ac???

I have a '95 GT-stang; however, the switch for heat, defrost, or ac will not move airflow in the vents. I checked the switch and it is working fine, but all air movements are through the defrosters and I am going to be in need of ac soon. Help, any suggestions. thx Gramps

Sounds like a vacuum issue. Check all the lines from the check valve ( small black plastic thing w/ 3 vacuum lines on passenger side firewall on a 90 GT ). Make sure they are all in place and intact. Also, if you make it to a scrap yard, pick up a "new" check valve from a donor car just to be sure. Not sure how the set-up is on a 95, but my 90 is doing the same thing and the problem is the vacuum line going from the check valve to the vacuum canister is broken. The problem w/ that is the vacuum canister is in the fender and will be a bit of a pain to access it. This is not an expensive fix, but depending on the layout of your ride, might be a pain in the ****.
