im new need some advice

Talking im new need some advice

this is my 1st american car its a project i just began working on i have a
1988 mustang gt 5.0 convertible i never worked on an american car before lol .. just got it running need some help it starts up no problem but its the 1st time it started in a few years it idles pretty rough but had a brand new tune up done b4 it stopped working ne ideas on y it idles so rough? ... also just stripped out 90 percent of the interior need new smoked gray drivers side door panel and new top any suggestions?

it may be the iac(idle air control sensor) its the big sensor on the throttle body, well it is on my car. you may need to take it off and spray some carb cleaner in it. spray liberally and shake it around. if not that sensor, it's probably some other sensor. iv'e learned that mustang are very sensitive to those kind of problems lol. welcome to the forums by the way

yeaa didnt even think about that ... that can def b the problem ..also i had some smoke burning off the back of the headers assumingvalve cover gasket?

you my friend are in the same boat as me, only mine is an 89 with smoke gray inter too...lol....50resto or mustangsunlimited are the places to shop

oh believe me , i had a ton of issues, from wiring snafu, to cracked floor pan, to 1/4 window issues,...solving the issues are not a prob for me, as I'm a tech, more so finding the parts I need, got one of these?? = 1/4 window guide rail for driver side
