Default Realigning Body Parts/Rust

Well.. I have a decent sized gap on my passenger door.. Looks like someone really got lazy and didnt do nothing right. They just put some washers on the striker to make it long so the door would close. After doing some comparison between the driver side and passenger side.. It looks like the passenger side fender is not aligned right.. And the door is is aligned with the misaligned fender which is causing the gap. So i would have to move the fender and door over about a centimeter. My question is.. How difficult would something like this be? I tried realigning the hatch and boy that sucked hard since it was so damn heavy.

Also.. The bottom of my passenger door has a decent amount of rust on it.. Its not rotted through but its got a decent amount of it. Would replacing the door solve the problem or should i attempt to get rid of the rust? I dont need anymore unoriginal parts on my GT350.
